The new community of Ravenswood is located in the south east quadrant of Airdrie just a minute or two east of Queen Elizabeth II Highway and south of Yankee Valley Blvd along Kings Heights Gate. As a growing neighbourhood, it has a population of just over 1,000 people. The vision for this 160-acre development was to create a walkable neighbourhood in the style of Old World Europe. A village atmosphere with old world grace and new world flair. The average price of a home in Ravenswood is $525,107, yet new homes with attached garages start from the $460s and estate homes start in the $500s. There are estate homes, bungalows, homes with front or rear attached garages as well as townhomes in the community. With comparatively low property taxes, marginally bigger lots and a less hectic pace, Airdrie communities such as Ravenswood are quickly becoming a feasible alternative for families shopping for a new home.

The idyllic landscape and the placement green tree-lined corridors were well planned to create a peaceful environment to walk or cycle along complete with quaint street lights and benches. Nearby Nose Creek Park offers 40 acres of open space with a tranquil pond full of trout.

Ravenswood is a 10 minute stroll to Kingsview Market with its 50 stores and services such as banks and medical offices, as well as a major grocery chain. Cross Iron Mills is a mega-shopping adventure in Balzac just five minutes south of Airdrie, home to big name retailers and popular restaurants.

A new Francophone school is now open in Ravenswood with dedicated sites for future schools. Other schools are within biking distance, such as Meadowbrook Middle School and R.J. Hawkey Elementary Schools, with Bert Church High School and St. Martin de Porres Catholic High School a quick trip by car.
